The Rugby Sustrans group are doing some work on the greenway and we are invited along to help.
The plan is to try and connect the Western Relief Road cycle path to the greenway via a ramp by the bridge that goes over the Coventry Road (Home Rule For Crick bridge).
Meeting at 10am on Saturday 5th April and 11am on Sunday 6th April.
This is the springboard that we need to get back on it.
Everyone in welcome for whatever time you can give.
I am guessing a spade would be a useful thing to bring along.
See you there.
Paul
I would just like to thank everybody who came and worked so hard on the cutting of the new footpath from the “Home Rule for Crick” Bridge. For those who didn’t see it we did actually get to the bottom on the Sunday – within 30 metres on the Saturday.
There are a couple of bridges to put in and obviously a fair bit of work to make wide cycle path – but it is now walkable.
Particular thanks to ‘Paul the Younger’ ( I hope I got your name right) who came did an amazing amount of clearing on the Sunday – I hope your catering course is going well.
Lovely to see you all and once again thanks. P.S. Hope you all weren’t too disappointed that I wasn’t from Sustrans.
Cheers
Andy
