The Hawthorn Trail offers people a bit of variety along the railway-path. It’s 220 metres in length and one end is at the middle round picnic bench, with the other end northwards towards the birdfeeder clearing.
It has wonderful views of the wildflower meadows on the Cawston side of the trail and breaks-up the there-and-back lineal-walk a bit.
Sadly, it’s not mobility scooter or pushchair friendly.
