Weekender
Brilliant turnout today with about twelve of us meeting up in the Picnic Cutting to burn off the piles of brash, that we had stored under the bridge to dry it out. I got the fire going very quickly and … Continue reading
Late Update – sorry!
The last two greenway workdays are rolled into this one blog entry. We have been working in the Picnic Clearing and have just about finished it on the Rugby side of the bridge. This is Aaron cutting back a load … Continue reading
Damp Day
Aaron, Mick, John and myself today. Everything was very wet from all the rain over the last week so I eventually abandoned the fire. I dragged all the brash under the bridge so it can dry out and we can … Continue reading
Pushing Down

Let there be light!!!
Four of us today, John, Aaron, Chris and myself, and the plan was to clear all the brash that was left over from the last workday. However, the temptation to start hacking down more of the tree canopy proved too … Continue reading
You can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs
Me, Aaron and John today, and it was just going to be burning off the pile of brash from Saturday, but it was a bit wet so we lost about half an hour waiting for the fire to really get … Continue reading
Bear Cutting
Good hard work out on the greenway and what a difference myself and Aaron saw. This bank was a tangle of bramble, scrub and brash six or so weeks ago. Thanks to all the people who have helped to clear … Continue reading
