Ooh – Something New…
I have rehashed the menu bar above to include a couple of new activities. Spotting and recording wildflowers, and the same with bug life. There is a brilliant smartphone app called Seek that makes identifying things easy and fun, and … Continue reading

Reschedule
Waiting for the metal plates to go on the front of the nesting boxes around The Bear pub. They have been despatched but no sign of them so we had to reschedule. The plates have a 28mm hole and the … Continue reading

Thank You Patrons
Our generous Patrons are making a lot happen on the path at the moment. The big things are the new bird nesting boxes, the new bird feeders and food for the feeders, the stain for the benches, wildflower seeds that … Continue reading

Furry Friends!!

Bat Boxes
Marcus, Mike, Aaron and myself got the bat boxes up. A bit of research and we found out that the entrance to the chamber needs to be 15 to 20 mm wide, so we closed this up a bit. We … Continue reading
Bird and Bat Boxes
Our good friend, Andrew, made us some more bird boxes and bat boxes. Thank-you, Andrew. Aaron, Mick and myself got the bird boxes up around a nice clearing south of the bird-feeder area. Two are directly on the path, and … Continue reading
Today was more about planning than working
We started at Berrybanks and just meandered down to Potford’s Dam and back. There is a bit of litter and dog poo bags that have been thrown into the scrub. This needs to be cleared up and I will bring … Continue reading

Bird Feeder Area
The bird feeder area is working again. Marcus and myself got the new squirrel-proof steel poles in, which was quite some feat… I recycled part of the old wooden posts to make a top from which to hang the feeders. … Continue reading
